Additional Information

Coach Hawkins is in his first season as an Assistant Coach for the Longhorns. 

Chris played high school baseball at North Gwinnett where he lettered all four years.  In the 2010 season, he was named Region 7-AAAAA Player of the Year and Gwinnett County Dugout Club Player of Year.   He was also named a Braves 400 Club High School All-Star and a Baseball America 1st Team All-American.

In 2010 Coach Hawkins was drafted in the 3rd Round by the Toronto Blue Jays.  He played four seasons as an Outfielder in the Blue Jays Organization.  Playing for the Bluefield Blue Jays in 2011, he was named an Appalachian League All-Star and received the R. Howard Webster Award as the team’s MVP.  In 2012 he was named a Midwest League All-Star as a member of the Lansing Lugnuts. 

Chris returned to school attending Georgia Perimeter College where he was an Assistant Baseball Coach for the 2014-2015 season working with Outfielders and Hitters. He later graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Business Management. 

Coach Hawkins coaches the Outfielders and Hitters for Lanier.

He currently resides in Sugar Hill.
